Own food and beverages are not allowed on the train -Tuckshop and beverages are available for purchase on the train.
Thanks to the combined efforts of Atlantic Rail, Ceres Rail Company and Transnet, for the first time since 2010, a passenger train will grace the railway line between George and Groot Brak.
The journey will begin at the Train Station in George. Expect beautiful sea and landscape views, together with the breathtaking crossing of the Gwaing Bridge and the spectacular Glentana Tunnel, during this unforgettable journey. 🌊🌉🚆
At Groot Brak, the locomotives will turn around for the return journey and passengers will have the opportunity to stroll through the beautiful station gardens, pathway and lookout area while our locomotives turn around for the return journey. We will stop in Groot Brak for 20 to 30 minutes, and passengers are welcome to disembark. 🌿☕🍴
The total trip will take approximately three and a half hours.
No own food or drinks – we have 3 fully stocked bars as well as our kiosk onboard for snacks.
